Premium: Kayaking on Lago Grey (after the C Trek)

01Overview

The kayak expedition lasts about 2.5 hours, roughly 1.5 of which are spent paddling. We'll meet at our base camp, where the guides will hand you all the gear you need to make this experience both safe and unforgettable. Next comes a safety briefing on land, where you'll get to know your kayak, your paddle, the route and the weather conditions.

Once everyone is on board, we'll paddle toward the imposing east face of the glacier, always keeping a safe distance. You'll be able to marvel at the sheer majesty of its wall of ice. From there we'll head to a meltwater waterfall fed by another of the park's glaciers, and then on to a bay where icebergs from Grey Glacier become trapped. The size and number of these icebergs depend on the glacier's most recent calving.

After the adventure, you'll return to the same starting point to change clothes and continue on your route.

To join this activity at the 8:00 am and 4:30 pm departures, you'll need to stay one night at Refugio or Camping Grey.
